Business Relationship Manager

Job Summary

This is a really exciting opportunity to work with a vibrant, growing commercial team – alongside our marketers, learning designers and programme managers – to consult with and support new and existing corporate clients in tackling their internal training and development needs, ensuring that their people – and their businesses – continue to grow and thrive in an ever-changing world.

This is very much a consultative sales role. You will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with new clients, helping them analyse their challenges and needs, and working with them to develop and deliver cutting edge training solutions that address them. These solutions will require you to stretch your complex problem-solving brain, and tap into your creativity and lateral-thinking abilities.

We believe in building lifelong relationships with our top tier clients, and you will play a critical role in delivering on this.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify and acquire new corporate clients for Red & Yellow (B2B sales) aligned to the overall business objective and commercial strategy.
  • Sell Red & Yellow programmes and courses to corporate clients and deliver against revenue and sales targets. In most cases, this will involve:
    • Consulting with clients;
    • Diagnosing learning and development challenges;
    • Developing and prescribing solutions that are comprised of Red & Yellow programmes and courses.
  • Add real value to our clients, by:
    • Offering unique and valuable perspectives on the market and their sector
    • Educating them on new developments and insights
    • Helping them navigate alternative programmes and courses
    • Providing consultation and advice
    • Helping them avoid potential pitfalls and overcome obstacles.
      …and in doing the above, you’ll need to ensure that you do the following:
    • Prospecting, prospecting, prospecting!
    • Build lead lists, generate new leads and opportunities and build relationships with new clients
    • Prepare your own proposals and presentations
    • Negotiate and close sales of varying degrees of complexity, scope and value
    • Demonstrate advanced awareness of the digital economy, Learning and Development trends and “burning issues” affecting prospective clients, their sectors and the market at large
    • Become fully conversant in matters relating to B-BBEE (especially relating to Skills Development)
    • Develop a deep understanding of our courses, so that you can meaningfully engage with prospective clients and identify courses which suit their needs.
    • Proactively seek ways to improve product and industry knowledge and better understand the target market for courses.
    • Assume responsibility for own productivity, manage and update account status reports daily, remain up to date on company projects and ensure company and department objectives are met.
    • Manage and maintain your own individual sales pipeline and contribute towards sales pipeline overall.
    • Travel as and when needed to meet with clients

  • Relevant tertiary qualification essential
  • At least 2 years relevant working experience
  • Prior working experience in an Educational, Customer Service or Sales, or HR or Learning & Development environment is advantageous
  • Proven sales experience essential
  • Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to the fast pace of the business
  • Skill in organising time and establishing priorities.

Financial Accountant

Job Summary

This is a really exciting opportunity to join a finance team within one of South Africa’s pre-eminent marketing and advertising schools and really make it your own.

The Red & Yellow Brand is well-loved and well-known within the South African marketing and advertising community, and following its recent acquisition by Honoris United Universities (the first and largest pan-African university network), it is now set to radically ramp up its presence and activity within South Africa, and expand through the Honoris network across the continent.
You will be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager to maintain world class financial management for business.

Key Responsibilities and Duties of the Role

  • Reviewing invoice capture
  • Preparation of supplier payment schedules
  • Loading of supplier payments
  • Reconciling supplier statements/invoices to accounting system and ensuring completeness
  • Investigating and implementing supplier approval system
  • Calculation and capture of month end journals
  • Review of cash book following capture by accounting clerk
  • Preparation of monthly revenue recognition schedule
  • Completeness testing of billing in Evolution to Salesforce/Class lists
  • Preparation of receipts schedules for sales team for commission calculations
  • Reviewing insurance cover and dealing with any possible claims
  • Assisting team with supplier take on forms (Company information)
  • Assisting with audits and BBBEE verification
  • Agreeing Dec YE monthly TBs to monthly Aug YE TBs
  • Ensuring sufficient cash available to cover payments but maximising interest earned in call accounts
  • Assisting finance manager with ad hoc tasks as and when required
  • Managing financial assistant in terms of tasks and duties
  • Preparation of monthly VAT report for submission to SARS
  • Assist with expense schedules for budget preparation
  • Managing debt collection process which may involve a hands on role in terms of contacting outstanding debtors to collect payment
  • Sending of students with outstanding accounts for debt collection once all attempts internally have failed to collect

Digital Marketing and CRM Manager

Job Summary

This is a really exciting  opportunity to step into a Mid-Senior level digital marketing role within one of South Africa’s pre-eminent marketing and advertising schools and really make it your own.

The Red & Yellow Brand is well-loved and well-known within the South African marketing and advertising community, and following its recent acquisition by Honoris United Universities (the first and largest pan-African university network), it is now set to radically ramp up its presence and activity within South Africa, and expand through the Honoris network across the continent.

You will be responsible for managing all digital  and CRM marketing efforts across Red & Yellow (including its Full Time, Online and Corporate offerings), with priority focuses on growing demands and leads for our on-campus programmes as well as radically ramping up lead generation for our online programmes through digital channels. A keen eye for digital design and interest in eCommerce will be advantageous!

Key Responsibilities and Duties of the Role

  • Develop Execute Implement and Optimize Digital Strategies for R&Y
  • Develop CRM interaction management plan, track, manage and monitor performance and adjust where necessary
  • Identify opportunities and implement campaigns to: upsell, cross sell, nurture existing base and to get new clients for online short courses and online qualifications
  • Manage and maintain the company’s website and associated microsite(s)
  • Campaign Performance Analytics and Analysis (track, manage and create reports post campaign)
  • Manage and maintain the company’s social media platforms
  • Content strategy and management of production thereof
  • Campaign management and online reputation management
  • Event Social Media Coverage & CRM Collection
  • Pre- and post-event digital amplification and content creation (working with in-house design team / partnering agencies / freelance consultants)
  • Attend brand events to assist with the management of CRM Collection, digital activations, videographers and to capture live social media coverage to build content strategy
  • Generate frequent Meltwater reports
  • Offer insights and strategic input based on report insights
  • Stay appraised of and be comfortable implementing new digital trends
  • Negotiate contracts with service providers
  • Internal CRM Database Management
  • Email & SMS Marketing as well as Report on delivery results
