At Red & Yellow Creative Business School, we don’t believe in hypothetical briefs that gather dust in lecture halls. We believe in real clients, real challenges, and real impact. Because creativity without a stage is just practice. And our students? They’re here to perform.
Recently, our BCom Marketing students stepped into the innovation arena with one mission: to transform a local premium lifestyle apparel brand from seasonal to unstoppable. The result? A dazzling showcase of disruptive ideas, bold strategies, and campaign concepts that had the client’s stakeholders taking notes (and, in some cases, planning immediate implementation).
This is what happens when the #1 Creative College in Africa and the Middle East gives students more than a classroom: we give them a launchpad.
The Creative Knockouts: Highlights from the Presentations
This year's BCom Innovation Hub client was Billy Now, a local clothing brand helmed by entrepreneur Adrian Heneke who is the founder and CEO. Each student group presented marketing and business strategies for their new client, and proved why our students are industry-ready from day one. Here’s a taste of the brilliance:
Group 1: Maximum impact, minimum time. They carved out a fresh strategy to penetrate a brand-new target market. Bold, ambitious, and expansion-ready.
Group 2: Tradition with a twist. Their limited-edition concept pulled in public figures and family-wide appeal, making the brand more personal, wearable, and heritage-rich. The client loved the ease of implementation.
Group 3: All about ROI. A clever collaboration with an annual event, backed by a rock-solid execution strategy and budget. Smart, scalable, and built for business.
Group 4: Thinking long game. Their “brand as treasure” concept positioned the client for global dominance in 2027/28. Bonus points for spotlighting small business collaborations—future-focused and community-driven.
Group 5: The undisputed presentation champions. Armed with stellar research, spot-on personas, and business-savvy thinking, they identified the need for a whole new youth-driven clothing line. Their delivery? Sharp, clear, and client-winning.
Group 6: Witty and clever. They doubled down on the current target audience, mixing humour and lifestyle relevance. Their branded gift box prototype impressed so much, the client wants to roll it out this summer.
Group 7: The game-changers. By leveraging the world’s fastest-growing sport and athleisure culture, they unveiled a whole new revenue stream—complete with a capsule collection and SEO dominance. The client? Left mind-blown and inspired.
Group 8: Haute couture thinking. They positioned the brand as art, creating a cultural experience tailored to a niche, affluent audience. Elevated, bespoke, and unapologetically premium.
Beyond the Pitch: Why This Matters
For the brand, these weren’t just ideas, they were business solutions. For our students, it was industry training in real time. And for us, it’s proof that when we say we create career-ready graduates, we mean it.
By the end of the session, the client was brimming with inspiration, impressed by the depth of thinking, and eager to take several concepts forward. From tangible prototypes to bold global visions, our students showed that they go far beyond just marketing.
