Get ticket now! There’s a new playing field— aggregators like Airbnb and Booking.com who have massive budgets are stunting the success of smaller, independent hospitality establishments.

Cape Town as a destination continues to grow in popularity, with an increase of 14,6% international visitors since March 2018. The tourism industry is responsible for creating approximately 300,000 jobs in the Western Cape, and seeing how much the area has to offer visitors, it should be a time of plenty for everyone. But in reality, occupancy is down by at least 30% across the board and many establishments aren’t thriving as they should. Competition in the industry continues to mount amidst an uncertain economic environment, socio-economic conditions and new technological developments.

We recognised the challenges that smaller, independent establishments are facing. Our solution: the inaugural Tourism Marketing Forum, which will not only address these challenges and discuss pain-points but actually showcase key insights and practical steps on how to stay ahead in such a competitive landscape. Knowing how to market your business effectively in an ever-evolving digital landscape is challenging, and this event is designed to provide practical solutions and thought-starters to new marketing approaches.

With talks by three industry heavyweights who’ll be sharing their insights and tips, attendees will learn how to stay ahead in a rapidly changing environment and drive business success and sustainability.

For those who want a deeper understanding and extra benefits, a special 1-hour social media marketing workshop, open to all attendees will follow the Forum. The workshop will be hosted by our very own Su Little with over 15 years of experience in both digital agency and corporate social media, CRM, strategy, e-commerce, experiential events, brand ambassadorship and brand management.

If you work in the tourism and hospitality industry, our Tourism Marketing Forum will provide you with tremendous value and insight into the current struggles and the necessary tools and tactics to help you to thrive.
