What does real change look like? Here at Red & Yellow, it’s about putting incredible ideas into action from day one. Our BCom Marketing students have won the Honoris United Universities Impact Challenge, and with it a trip to Harvard University in 2024.

Students based at institutions all across Africa were challenged with choosing a Sustainable Development Goal (or SDG) and coming up with a practical solution to help reach it in the African context. Our students selected SDG 4: Education and formed a group called Learning for Everyone. With the mantra of empowering minds and embracing differences, our BCom students developed an accessible online platform for low-end communities.

Incredible opportunities like these are made possible through our partnership with Honoris United Universities, along with our incredible partnership network, and give our students the edge when it comes to launching their career.

“Learning for Everyone offers a low-end optimisation platform and website that incorporates training courses for educators, disability indication tests and useful activities for students. This will be available anytime, anywhere.”

The team was made up of four of our BCom Marketing students who selected SDG 4: Quality Education and formed a group called Learning for Everyone. With the mantra of empowering minds and embracing differences, our BCom students developed an accessible online platform for low-end communities to help identify and tackle learning disabilities like dyslexia.

Over 40% of learners don’t pass matric, and Learning for Everyone extends its reach to parents, guardians and teachers to empower them with education. Educators are then given the correct tools to identify learning disabilities, as well as the right resources to help them teach learners according to their individual needs.

This initiative is all about empowering the African youth through education and empowering children today so that they can become the future leaders of tomorrow.

All the benefits of Red & Yellow’s BCom degree, available on campus and through online distance learning

Taking a conventional degree into the 21st century, our BCom Marketing degree has a strong focus on future-focused capabilities such as data analytics, social intelligence and creative thinking. Naturally, it also covers critical specialist subject areas like business, economics, marketing, accounting, strategic brand management, project management and information systems. The result? A qualification that embraces all the evolving business landscape with a specialist focus on marketing.

We’ve amplified the conventional promise of teaching hard, technical, theoretical know-how; by adding unconventional benefits like practical implementation (on real brands) and the development of critical human skills (like empathy and creative thinking) that are essential to future career success.

This programme will prepare students – keen on both ‘creativity’ and ‘commercials’ – for career resilience, survival and success in a world that is pervasively being destabilised by technology.

Our BCom Marketing degree is available as Full-Time study on campus, as well as Online Distance Learning.
