In this module, you will be introduced to the Metaverse and why it matters in the creative industries. You will also learn about the evolution of the Metaverse, and its origins in the gaming industry. This module will also explain how the Metaverse relates to Web 3.0. This is a theoretical module.
In this module you’ll learn about Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR), and why these concepts are important for designing the Metaverse. This is a theoretical module.
In this module, you will learn about virtual real estate. This module will teach you how to ‘set up shop’ in virtual spaces using Unreal Engine and Blender. You will create a standalone 3D scene/environment using an Unreal Engine blueprint for VR and populate this environment with 3D assets that you have created in Blender and/or downloaded from the Unreal Engine asset library. This is a practical module.
In this module you will learn how to design, model, texture and pose an avatar/character in Blender, to be exported to Unreal Engine. This is a practical module.
This module will introduce you to different kinds of non-fungible token (NFT). You will also learn how to create a collection of beautiful graphic art pieces, using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and how to commercialise this collection as NFTs on a minting page. This is a practical module.

Completing the portfolio and facilitating your external assessment and moderation is an additional fee on top of the online course fee.
Completing one of our short courses with the accredited option, will award you credits for the unit standards you have completed.
