Frequently asked questions

Are there any prerequisites for this programme?

Yes: a qualification at NQF6 (National Diploma or an undergraduate degree) and some experience in marketing.

Why is this programme unique?

It’s Africa’s first (and so far only) fully online NQF7 in digital marketing.

Is there a textbook for this course?

Comes with our eMarketing textbook

Is there a research project for the course?

Four of them. The final one is a biggie.

What are 3 interesting facts about the knowledge partner?

There isn’t one knowledge partner – the programme draws from several of our online courses, so those knowledge partners are relevant here as well.

Is this programme suitable for beginners?

No. Someone with an NQF6 and no knowledge in marketing could manage it, but they will struggle for the first month or two and they would really have to put the work in.

What is the target market for this programme?

People who are working in marketing and have an NQF6 qualification. They now want to further their knowledge of digital and/or want to cement the knowledge they already have and be able to wave around an NQF7 at the end of it.

How much work is required?

This course is a lot of work – part-time studying at an NQF 7 still adds up to about 20 hours a week. If they’re fast readers, it’ll be less than that, but they need to be prepared for a slog.

Can we make use of RPL for this programme?

Yes, but we are only allowed 10% of the cohort to be on RPL.

Who needs to do a skills test?

All applicants must complete the skills test.
